Surface magazine’s July/August issue, on newsstands next week, features pieces I wrote about Sauerbruch Hutton’s Cologne Oval Offices in Germany, the Stockholm-based brand One of a Tee, tech-savvy toilets from Kohler and Duravit, and Vivobarefoot’s Ultra trail-running shoe. Along with that, I covered Lausanne, Switzerland–based designer and soon-to-be ECAL director Alexis Georgacopoulos, and a bunch of interior design projects: Rafael de Cárdenas’s Unkown Union shop in Cape Town, Nendo’s Puma House TokyoJoey Ho Design’s Arthouse Café in Hangzhou, and Estudio Nômada’s Cantina in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I also wrote a piece about Nieto Sobejano’s San Telmo Museum in San Sebastián, Spain.
